In this informative, colourful and interactive workshop you’ll discover the best styles, shapes, colours, patterns and fabrics for your body shape and proportions. In understanding why certain details don’t work for you, you’ll release a whole new confident and creative you in your future sewing projects and shopping trips!

Note: No actual sewing is involved but your future sewing will be infinitely more fabulous!

What’s it all about?

  • it’s about enjoying your clothes; loving the way you look and feel in them
  • it’s feeling confident when you buy or make clothes that you’re going to enjoy wearing them
  • it’s feeling happy opening your wardrobe every day

So what will I learn?

  • You’ll get to grips with your body characteristics: your shape, how many angles, how many curves, your proportions, are you short waisted, long legged?
  • By understanding your body characteristics you’ll start to understand how these affect how you look and feel in your clothes; why some are favourites and make you feel great whilst others end up hanging there unworn
  • Put all this info together and you’ll start to understand which shapes, styles and details work best for you

And the benefits?

  • You’ll start to get more satisfaction from both sewing projects and shopping trips when you end up with clothes you love wearing
  • You can save money and time by avoiding those impulse buys and be more efficient and informed in your choices
  • Most importantly you’ll start to feel happier and more confident in your clothes again

Who’s it for?

  • Anyone who feels they’ve lost their way in their clothes and style
  • Anyone who feels disheartened or bored when they open their wardrobe doors
  • Anyone who’s interested in clothes!

What do I need to bring?

  • A couple of items of clothing that fall into two categories: 1. I love to wear this and feel good, and 2. I like this, but never wear it/don’t feel right somehow.
  • A packed lunch – you are welcome to use the microwave and toaster in the studio kitchen.
